What does the code P0191 mean?
The fuel rail pressure sensor measures fuel pressure right before the injectors. This code appears when its signal falls outside the expected range — either a real pressure fluctuation or a sensor giving a wrong reading.
Common possible causes
A failing pressure sensor— a wrong reading even if actual pressure is fine.
A weak fuel pump— an actual pressure drop, especially under high engine demand.
A clogged fuel filter— restricts flow and drops pressure.
